    Centre Director/Franchisee

    As Centre Director, Ann leads her staff at Sylvan Learning in Charlottetown. As a former teacher, Ann chose a career in the tutoring business because she is passionate about education and wants to make learning personal for all children. She studied at UPEI, earning a Bachelor of Arts and Education. When Ann isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her spending time with her son or reading a favorite novel.
  • Cathy, Teacher



    Cathy is a Speech - Language Pathologist who has a gift for working with children and making learning fun. She completed her Bachelor of Arts at St. Thomas University and has a Masters in Communicative Disorders from the University of Western Ontario. When Cathy is not teaching at Sylvan she can be found baking, cooking, and scrapbooking.

    Office assistant

    Ella has many roles at Sylvan! She is the friendly face that meets and greets all of our students and parents as they arrive at our Centre. Ella also provides educational assistance to all of our teachers. She keeps our office organized and is always coming up with great ideas to help the staff and students. In her free time, Ella loves being with her family and competing in power lifting.

    Eileen Higginbotham


    Eileen is an exceptional resource teacher with almost 30 years of teaching experience. We are so very fortunate at Sylvan to have her expertise guide children through their educational journey. Eileen makes learning fun and truly follows the Sylvan model that learning should be personal. When she is not teaching, Eileen is probably hanging out with her husband and 5 dogs!

    Danielle is a teacher with a gift for working with kids. While she enjoys teaching overall, she finds the most pleasure in Language Arts. Danielle completed her Bachelor of Education at Trent University and her Masters of Education in Inclusive Education at UPEI. When Danielle isn't at Sylvan, she can be found enjoying the outdoors.

    Roxanne Kleinveldt


    Roxanne is a rock star educator with a passion for helping students. While Roxy has many talents, she finds the greatest joy in teaching high school maths and sciences. She studied at Memorial University. When Roxy isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her biking, shopping or volunteering in her community.  .
