Arun Jadhav

Center Director

Arun Jadhav is a dedicated educator and talented artist who owns and directs the Sylvan Learning Center in Evanston. With over 35 years of experience, Arun has developed e-learning courses for students of all ages, from kids to adult learners. He believes in personalized learning and has created effective programs that have helped students reach their full potential. Arun is committed to giving back to the community and supports organizations such as UNICEF. Sylvan is a true family business, run by Arun and his wife Kavya, who holds a Masters degree in Technology in Education from Calgary University.

Alyssa

Teacher

Alyssa recently joined the Sylvan-Evanston team after moving to Calgary from British Columbia, where she worked with other Sylvan Centers since 2018. She has a B.A. Major in English, Minor in Classics, and a B.Ed. specialization in Secondary teaching, from the University of Victoria; as well as being an Accredited Royal Conservatory of Toronto piano teacher and performer. She is most passionate when working with students on expressing themselves through their writing, be it persuasive or creative. When not at Sylvan she can be found Irish dancing or composing music, and she is currently working toward the publication of her second poetry book.

Nicole

Teacher

Nicole is primarily an elementary teacher, with specialization in reading and math intervention. She completed two degrees from the University of Lethbridge in theatre and education and has been working in the school board since her university graduation in 2018. Along with teaching education, Nicole is qualified in teaching Jr. High and Sr. High School subject matter, including the common core subjects. Along with teaching, in the past years Nicole has gained experience tutoring many different subjects, specializing in one-on-one instruction.
