CTV Interview: Study Strategies That Work
May 15, 2016
What's the best way for your child to prepare for a test? Everyone has a different approach, from late-night cramming to cue cards. Some methods, however, are more effective than others.
Sylvan Learning stopped by CTV Morning Live to discuss study strategies that work. Here are some tips:
Don’t cram! Know your material and prepare throughout the term. Staying up late and being tired can make it difficult to perform effectively.
Focus on the task at hand. Multi-tasking is a myth. Give material 100% of your attention.
Find a study buddy. Talk things out. Emulate successful behaviours. Share feedback.
Set goals. Plan your time, be organized, and study on a regular basis.
