My name is Rosanne and I have been a tutor with Sylvan for about 7 years. I am also a substitute teacher for the TDSB. I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto and my Teaching degree at the University of Ottawa. I have experience teaching children from Kindergarten to Grade 8. I hold additional qualifications in reading, ESL and Special Education. What I love most about the Sylvan approach is the way it is custom made to meet a student’s diverse needs. When a child gains confidence because they have achieved a goal, or acquired a new skill, that is the moment I enjoy. I love the teaching profession because allows me to participate in the creation of that magical moment.
Emilie Guittard

My name is Emilie, I am a French newcomer in Canada, I graduated with a master degree’s from a business school in Paris. I traveled a lot, and I was able to increase my language skills throughout all my experiences. I have previous experience teaching in France as a part-time job to students of all ages.
I believe learning a new language can be tough, and I believe talking, and practicing a language as often as possible is the key to gaining confidence and knowledge. I love the rewarding system of Sylvan, and the proximity we have with our students. It is easy to create a friendly environment for everyone. I love teaching and seeing my students improve lesson by lesson, it is truly rewarding.
Muhammad Farooqui

My name is Muhammad and I’ve been a tutor at Sylvan for over a year. I work as a chemical engineer in the pharmaceutical industry. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). I have experience tutoring students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Being a recent graduate allows me to connect with students on a more interpersonal level while aiding in establishing study skills and grasping fundamental concepts. Sylvan provides me an opportunity to mentor students into well-rounded individuals preparing for post-secondary education.
