    Center Director

    Sandy has been with Sylvan  since 1997. She enjoys working with her team to provide a top notch educational experience for our families. Sandy graduated from Eastern Michigan University and taught elementary school for a couple of years before moving to Augusta. When she's not at Sylvan, Sandy enjoys baking, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.

    Amy oversees the academic excellence of our programs. She trains and manages our teachers, conducts reviews of student progress, and shares progress with parents. Amy has been with Sylvan since 2000. When she is not at Sylvan, Amy is actively involved with her husband and two boys in scouts.

    Susan Melchior

    Director of Education

    Susan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She taught in Columbia County schools for seven years before joining the Sylvan team in 2000. Susan is responsible for our elementary reading students. She enjoys observing student progress and shares that progress with parents and with teachers by attending meetings in the schools. When she is not at Sylvan, Susan enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with her family.
