Debbie
Director
Debbie oversees the educational integrity of our programs, managing and training our team of tutors in Baton Rouge, LA. With many years in business and education, Debbie brings a wealth of knowledge to Sylvan. A graduate of LSU, she has taught Math, English Language Arts, Study Skills, Writing, Test Prep and even sits down for an occasional Homework Support session. Debbie’s profound joy is in teaching Reading particularly Early Literacy where she enjoys seeing young readers building their skills. When not at Sylvan, Debbie enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Will
Tutor
Will is an exceptional tutor for Sylvan of Baton Rouge, LA. He has two Bachelor degrees from Arizona State University and specializes in Math, Science and Test Prep tutoring. Will has been tutoring for Sylvan Learning Centers since 2000 and is our resident go-to pro for Advanced Math, Senior Math and Science Homework Support. He enjoys working with the students and says, “It is very rewarding when you know that they get it.”
Curtell
Tutor
Curtell is a tutor in Baton Rouge, LA with a gift for working with kids. While Curtell has many tutoring talents, she finds the greatest joy in Math, Reading, and STEM course tutoring. She received a Master of Education degree from Southern University. When Curtell isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her enjoying and working with her grandchildren
