    Leanna Lanier completed her Masters of Art in Teaching, Art Education in 2013 from George Mason University and a Bachelors in Art and Visual Technology in 2010. Her degrees in the arts have taught her that the arts teach students to think critically and creatively. These skills cross disciplines and can be applied to any type of learner. Her goal is to create a learning community that fosters personal growth socially and academically. She aspires to provide strategies to help her students in their academic career through developing and understanding their strengths.

    Andy is a former high school science teacher.  He worked at APG for over thirty -two years as a mathematical  analyst.  He has also worked as a math and science tutor for over ten years helping adults and students with all levels of math and science. He volunteers at his church and takes care of his Collie dogs. He is also a model railroader in his spare time.

    Emily is pursuing a Masters Degree in Secondary Biology Education at Towson University. While Emily has many interests, she finds the greatest joy in helping students with reading, writing, and the sciences. She earned a degree in Psychology at Towson University and even assisted in neuroscience research at the liberal arts college. When Emily is not at Sylvan, you can find her running, reading, or spending time with her family.

    Elizabeth is an instructor in Bel Air, MD with a gift for working with high school students. Elizabeth has many tutoring talents; she finds great joy in tutoring reading, writing, algebra, and SAT prep. She received a BA from McDaniel College and a MAT from Notre Dame of Maryland University. When Elizabeth isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her reading books or coaching.​

    Colleen is an elementary teacher in Bel Air, MD with a gift for working with kids. While Colleen has many tutoring talents, she finds the greatest joy in language arts and math tutoring. She studied at Towson University. When Colleen isn't at Sylvan, you'll find her spending time with family, hitting the beach, and reading.

    Donna loves teaching.  She has been teaching for about 28 years. Most of that time, she taught for Harford County Public Schools. She also taught in a private school for 3 years. She ran a small daycare from her home while on leave raising her children. The Boy Scouts provided her with an opportunity to be a Tiger Cub mom. She also teaches piano and organ lessons at a Jordan Kitts music store and teaches piano lessons in her home. She is currently enjoying working with her grandchildren on a variety of lessons. She values the opportunity to help any child that she can to realize his or her full potential!

    Kathy is a Program Manager in Bel Air with a gift for working with students of all ages. She also enjoys teaching young students how to build and program robots using LEGO® in Sylvan's new Robotics classes.

    Meredith is 2nd grade teacher in Baltimore, Md. While Meredith has many tutoring talents, she finds the greatest joy in Language Arts tutoring. She studied at Virginia Commonwealth University. When Meredith isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her singing karaoke, reading a new book, or just hanging out with friends.
