Welcome Back! We're now offering In-Center and Online instruction!

To our Wonderful Students and Families,

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health! We are happy to announce that we intend to start a very gradual reopening of regular in-center instruction beginning Monday, June 8, 2020. We have some of your favorite teachers lined up and ready to support you during the summer!
A safe environment is a top priority for our center. We follow infection control recommendations made by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC,) the state of California and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. We have added some safety controls on top of our normal recommendations for added precaution and want to make sure you know what to expect as you return to Sylvan.
What to expect on your next visit to Sylvan Beverly Hills:
Teacher and Student Screening: At the start of each day, each teacher as well as Lily and Marla will have his or her temperature taken along with answering the Covid-19 questionnaire to ensure they are ready and able to work. Each student will have his or her temperature taken upon arrival. If you present with a temperature higher than 99.6 degrees, we will have to reschedule your appointment.
Scheduling: We have limited our capacity and hours over the summer. We have reconfigured our table layout so students and teachers can maintain a 6-foot distance from others. Summer hours are limited, please call or check our website for information.
Physical Distancing: We will be practicing physical distancing and limiting the number of students in the center at one time. This includes a closure of our waiting room. YOUR CAR IS YOUR NEW WAITING ROOM. Only students and teachers will be allowed in the center. Personal masks/face coverings need to be worn by everyone entering the center so please do not forget to bring one from home. We will also be providing masks to all students and teachers upon entry. Please leave the mask on for the duration of instruction. We have also installed plexiglass dividers at each table for added security. Hand sanitizer will be available to each student.
Prior to your scheduled instruction:
• You will be required to fill out a COVID-19 Health Questionnaire prior to your visit. These forms will be emailed to you.
• Make sure to bring your own water bottle with you. Our water station will be unavailable. We will provide bottled water in case of emergency.
 Entering the Center:
• Students will be required to wash their hands thoroughly with soap for at least 20 seconds.
• When instructed, students will sit at their designated tables, 6 feet from the teacher and other students.
• Students will use individual IPads for instruction, enclosed in sheet protectors that will be changed after every session. Individual hand sanitizers will be available to each student to use during instruction.
