Do you have a love for computers and working with children? Have you ever created lines of code? Are you a college student? A teacher? Or even a certified teacher with a STEM degree? If you answered yes, then we're is looking for someone like you to fill part-time instructor positions for our new STEM programs, a series of courses on Robotics and Coding for elementary and middle school aged children.

Responsibilities:
•    Have a basic knowledge of comfort with, and interest in computer programming
•    Supervise, interact with, and motivate students (grades 3-5) during instruction while they work (6:1 ratio)
•    Communicate with parents in person and via email.
•    Communicate class needs to the Center Director
•    Develop Rapport with students and establish a fun learning environment.
•    Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and Sylvan.
•    Be dependable and reliable.
•    Adhere to principles and techniques defined in training and ongoing coaching.Robotics Responsibilities:
•    Supervise, interact with, and motivate students in grades 2-6 while they build projects according to scripted lesson plans.
•    Facilitate learning and positive group dynamics among students.
•    Work as a team with fellow teachers and teacher’s aides.
•    Communicate with customers via email following each session.
•    Communicate class needs to the manager.
•    Develop Rapport with students and establish a fun learning environment.
•    Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching, Sylvan and Sylvan products.
•    Pick up and drop off equipment as necessary.
•    Be dependable and reliable.
•    Adhere to principles and techniques defined in training and ongoing coaching.

Requirements:
Experience working with groups of elementary-aged children
Interest in STEM related topics
