    I am enormously grateful for Sylvan Learning's help in assisting my daughter to reclaim confidence in her studies and more importantly in herself. A demoralizing teacher in 5th grade knocked the wind out or our daughter's sails over a period of several months. It became a massive challenge for our entire family, and despite various efforts to support and to intervene, she finished 5th grade in an emotional and academic slump. Over the summer, Sylvan filled the gaps, built up developmentally appropriate skills, and for the first time in a year, brought laughter back into the equation.     Thank You to Mrs. Lee and Sylvan! Mrs. Lee has been working with Riley for over a year, and she has always gone above and beyond to make sure Riley is being taken care of and receiving the help he needs. Mrs. Lee has not only worked with us as parents but also with Riley's school. She has gone to meetings with teachers, held conference calls and kept us updated with what Riley was working on in math/reading class. We are so thankful for her kind, upbeat, positive way with our son. She has really earned Riley's trust and he has strived because of her compassion for helping kids like him. There has been little to no arguing and tears of frustration since we have been at Sylvan! I know the teachers at his school have also been so grateful to be able to lean on her when Riley seemed to slip or if they were needing help to get him where he needed to be. So, a BIG thank you to Mrs. Lee and the Sylvan program, life at our home has been 100% better.

    Our son was behind with his reading skills so we decided to try Sylvan Learning. When he first started with
    them we found he was lacking the energy and confidence to become a good reader. After just six months with Julian, we found that he was more engaged when reading at home. He has since received higher marks at school and now is a confident 4th grader who enjoys reading. He still attends Sylvan because he enjoys his teacher and the small group makes it easier for him to ask questions if he doesn't understand something. I highly recommend Sylvan if your child needs a little extra help!
