Our tutors and staff in Woburn and Burlington consist of passionate educators who love inspiring children to succeed.     Brittany Mozuch

    Center Director

    As Center Director, Brittany leads operations and daily administrative tasks for Sylvan of Woburn. Brittany chose a career in the tutoring business because she has always had a passion for working with children to make a difference in each child’s life. She studied at Salem State University and where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. When Brittany is not at Sylvan, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. 
  • Caighla Healy, Tutor

    Caighla Healy


    Caighla began tutoring at Sylvan Learning Center in 2016. Caighla is originally from Rhode Island and is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island (URI) where she received her Bachelor's Degrees in Elementary Education, Middle School Education, and English. She also received her Master's Degree in Reading Education and Literacy Consulting from URI. Caighla is certified to teach in grades 1-12. She is currently a math and literacy Interventionist for Burlington Public Schools and an After School Teacher in Burlington. When not working, Caighla enjoys spending time with her friends, shopping, and exploring what the state of Massachusetts has to offer!
  • Kelly Towne, Tutor

    Kelly Towne


    Kelly started working at Sylvan Learning Center in June of 2017. She graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University with a BS in Elementary Education and a minor in Pre-K primary education. She is currently a middle school teacher in Lynn, MA. Kelly is currently enrolled in UTA, getting her Mater's Degree for math in secondary education. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her niece and nephew, going to the beach, and spending time with her friends.
  • Betsy Collamore, Tutor

    Betsy Collamore


    Betsy Collamore is a licensed teacher in Massachusetts for grades K-2 and ESL grades 5-12. She has her Master of Health Education degree from Boston University and completed her licensure program while obtaining her Bachelors degree at Mount Holyoke College. She loves working at Sylvan because it gives her the opportunity to work closely with children 1-on-1 and in small groups. She says, "My favorite part about teaching is seeing a student come to realize that they understand! Watching them make sense of challenging material and knowing I was there to facilitate it is one of the best feelings in the world." Betsy also enjoys spending time with her family; running with her husband and one year old son in the stroller is her favorite.
  • Holly Joy, Tutor

    Holly Joy


    Holly began her teaching career as a Teaching Fellow in Computer Science at Harvard University. Since then, she has tutored all levels of math, elementary reading, and is also an SAT/SSAT tutor. Holly also spent many years as a Database Architect for several of Boston's leading financial firms.
    When not tutoring, Holly enjoys many outdoor activities as well as spending time with family.

    Kristen DiFillippo


    Kristen started working for Sylvan in the summer of 2017.  She has a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Lesley University.  Kristen is a kindergarten teacher in the North Reading School District.  When she is not teaching, she enjoys reading, going to the beach and spending time with her family and friends.

    Molly Niemy


    Molly started working at Sylvan in February of 2017. She received her Masters in Early Childhood Education and is a licensed teacher in the state of Massachusetts . Currently, Molly is a second grade teacher for the Malden Public School district.
  • Julia Baynes, Tutor

    Julia Baynes


    Julia is a high school teacher at Lowell Catholic. She has been with Sylvan since July 2018. Although she enjoys tutoring many subjects and ages, Julia loves teaching math the most. Julia received a Bachelors degree from Wheaton College and a Masters degree from Simmons College. When not teaching, you can find Julia training for various running and biking events. 
  • Karen McIntyre, Tutor

    Karen McIntyre


    Karen is a fourth-grade teacher in Burlington, MA. She previously taught fifth grade and worked as a kindergarten assistant. Karen finds the greatest joy in English Language Arts tutoring. She studied at UMASS Dartmouth, Boston University and Salem University. When Karen isn't at Sylvan, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters and her dog.

    Sarah Morgan


    Sarah is a math and geography teacher in Woburn, MA, with a gift for working with kids. While Sarah has many tutoring talents, she finds the greatest joy in reading tutoring. She studied at Westfield State University. When Sarah isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her hiking, skiing, or riding her horse.

    Danielle Trouve


    Danielle is currently a high school teacher, specializing in Business in Burlington, MA. She has worked with children of all ages, from preschool to college prep. She has been a part of Sylvan since 2006. In her spare time, she enjoys teaching fitness classes and DIY projects. 
  • Nicole Reilly, Tutor

    Nicole Reilly


    Nicole is a 2nd-grade teacher in Burlington, Ma. Before teaching Nicole received her Bachelor's and Masters degree from the University of New Hampshire. Nicole's favorite subject to teach is reading. When Nicole is not at Sylvan, she enjoys playing games, baking and hanging out at her family's lakehouse in Maine. 
  • Karen Noonan, Tutor

    Karen Noonan


    Karen is a retired elementary school teacher and currently a tutor in Burlington, MA with a gift for working with children. While Karen has many tutoring talents, she finds the greatest joy tutoring students in math. She received her Bachelor’s degree at the University of New England and her Master’s degree at Northeastern University. When Karen is not at Sylvan, you’ll find her gardening, taking fitness classes, running, dancing, painting, and doing DIY home projects. Karen’s favorite activity is cheering for her son and daughter as they participate in soccer, swim, and track teams at school!
  • Kaitlyn Beaumont, Tutor

    Kaitlyn Beaumont


    Kaity Beaumont is an English Language Arts teacher in Melrose, MA. She enjoys all tutoring subject areas but particularly loves tutoring reading students. Outside of the classroom, Kaity likes to bake, bike, and run. She is very excited about another year tutoring at Sylvan!
  • Kasia Wassung, Tutor

    Kasia Wassung


    Kasia is an Itinerant/Auditory/Oral Teacher of the Deaf in Everett and Marblehead, Ma. With the gift for working with kids. Kasia has many tutoring talents. She finds the greatest joy in Reading tutoring. She studied at Emerson College for her Bachelor's degree and Smith College for her Master's degree. When Kasia isn't at Sylvan, you'll find her doing yoga/pilates, at a concert or watching Friends. 
  • Jerry Freedman, Tutor

    Jerry Freedman


    Jerry teaches math at Bedford High School. Jerry has a mathematics degree from UMass Amherst.  When Jerry is not at Sylvan, he enjoys playing the trumpet in jazz bands!
