Courtney

Center Director

As Center Director, Courtney bridges the gap between parents and teachers for Sylvan of Canton. Courtney has been with Sylvan for over 10 years and is passionate about helping students of all ages. When Courtney isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her enjoying her cottage on the lake, watching sports, and hanging out with her dog. Oh, and attending Michigan Wolverines football games, GO BLUE!

Cheryl

Director of Education

Cheryl has been with Sylvan for over 10 years. While Cheryl has many tutoring talents, she finds the greatest joy in high school math tutoring. She studied at Wayne State University. When Cheryl isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her tap dancing and spending time with her family and 3 kids.

Amanda is a teacher and test administrator here at Sylvan. While Amanda has many tutoring talents, she finds the greatest joy in English/Writing tutoring. She studied at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. When Amanda isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her at home with her two daughters.

Angie is a teacher here at Sylvan, that finds the greatest joy in in-person tutoring and connecting with each individual student. She studied at the University of Michigan Dearborn. When Angie isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her traveling with her family on new adventures and seeing new places. She enjoys attending concerts and watching sports with her family. She also loves to take her rescue dog on walks.

Annie finds the greatest joy when seeing the faces of students when a hard concept is finally understood. She enjoys it when students are able to reach their goals and learn their potential. She studied at Eastern Michigan University. When Annie isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her spending time with her family and friends.  She loves to re-finish furniture, read, cook, and spend time with her kids.

Brittany is an elementary teacher with a gift for working with kids. While Brittany has many tutoring talents, she finds the greatest joy in small groups and creating strong connections! She studied at Eastern, Central, and Madonna University. When Brittany isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find spending time with her family, reading, and crafting.

Cathy is a teacher at Sylvan and finds the greatest joy in high school math and science tutoring. She studied at Oakland and Wayne State University. When Cathy isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her spending time with her children, reading, and going to watch plays or movies.

Heather brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team. She loves teaching our math and reading programs, but her greatest passion is seeing the kids develop a love for learning!  She studied at Eastern Michigan University. When Heather isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her spending time with her family and playing with her cats.

Jennifer is a teacher with a gift for working with children and building their phonic skills. While Jennifer has many tutoring talents, she finds the greatest joy in Reading tutoring. She studied at Grand Canyon University. When Jennifer isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her watching movies and enjoying time with her family.

Neal is an instructor here in Canton with a gift of working with kids of all ages. While Neal has many tutoring talents, he finds the greatest joy in science and math tutoring, as well as our STEM courses.
