Meet our Carrollton Tutoring Staff

As Executive Director, Stephany works closely with the Center Directors to ensure all students get the best education possible. Stephany is a graduate of Baylor University with a Math Major with Secondary Education. Stephany also holds a certification in 8-12 Mathematics. Stephany has over 10 years of experience with supplemental education. When Stephany isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her playing with her son and dog, cooking and traveling to where the beach is.

As Center Director, Kiran helps with marketing and outreach to spread Sylvan’s mission across the territory. She believes each child has their own strengths and purely believes in the Sylvan program. Kiran oversees center operations in order to maintain quality assurance and credibility. Kiran is a DePaul University graduate with a major in Business. When Kiran is not at Sylvan, you will find her spending time with her family, playing badminton, or reading books. Kiran chose a career in the tutoring business because she identifies herself as a lifelong learner and loves to help children meet and surpass their academic goals. 

Alisha is the director of education at Sylvan Learning Center of Carrollton & Lewisville. She holds an Associate's in Psychology from Georgia State University and working towards her Bachelor of Arts in Literature. Alisha has been a tutor for 2 years. She enjoys teaching Math, Reading, and Science. When Alisha is not at Sylvan she can be found reading, writing, swimming, and horseback riding.

Charlotte is a tutor at the Sylvan Learning Center of Carrollton & Lewisville with a gift for working with kids. . She holds a B.S. in Mathematics and is certified by TEA for Secondary Math. At Sylvan Charlotte teachers Math, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, SAT and ACT. When not at Sylvan, Charlotte likes reading, crocheting and making jewelry.

Ahmed is a tutor at Sylvan Learning of Carrollton & Lewisville. Ahmed holds a B.A. from University of North Texas and a Masters in Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University. Ahmed is also certified in Reading and English Language Arts 4-8, ESL 4-8 and English 7-12. Ahmed teaches Reading and Writing at Sylvan. In his free time, Ahmed likes to write, play basketball, watch movies and mentor youth.

Colin is a tutor at the Sylvan Learning Center of Carrollton & Lewisville. He has a BS in Early Childhood and Family Studies, Early Childhood-6th Grade Generalist, and ESL Early Childhood-12th Grade from Texas Tech University. He has been with Sylvan for 4 years and teaching for a total of 6 years. He enjoys teaching beginning reading, social studies, and science. When Colin is not at Sylvan he enjoys music, biking, and trying to cook.

Charlie is a tutor at the Sylvan Learning of Carrollton & Lewisville. He holds a Bachelor's in Computer Science with a Minor in Business. He enjoys teaching all subjects, but primarily reading and writing, and literature analysis. When Charlie is not at Sylvan he enjoys biking, reading, writing, film analysis, game design, video editing, and playing/writing music.
