We selectively choose tutors who know local curriculum and can link Sylvan lessons to what’s being taught in school.

John Peoples, M. Ed.
Center Director
As Center Director, John leads our staff at Sylvan of Chattanooga, managing each student’s tutoring program with keen insight. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a Master of Education in Secondary Education from UTC, with additional graduate work in mathematics. John has been a Sylvan team member since 2004, and when he isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find him spending time with his wife and their 3 pets.
Katelyn Jones
tutor
Katelyn is a reading and math tutor with a gift for working with kids. She has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Education in curriculum and instruction from Bryan College. When Katelyn isn’t at Sylvan, she can be found spending time with her husband and son, and maybe doing a little needlepoint in her downtime.
Katelin Loper

Katelin is a reading and math tutor in Chattanooga, TN. She has a Bachelor of Science in French, as well as an Master of Science in Secondary Education from UTC. When Katelin isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her enjoying time on the lake with her husband, son, and their three pets.
