Center Director

As Center Director, Kimberly leads the operations for Sylvan of Columbus. A former teacher, Kimberly chose a career in the tutoring business because she loves seeing children succeed and building their confidence. Kimberly studied at Auburn University and has over twenty years of teaching experience..

Grace Snider

Director of Education

Grace oversees the educational integrity of our programs. Among supporting student success, Grace manages and trains our team of tutors in Columbus. Grace is a current student at Columbus State University (CSU), pursuing a degree in education. While applying academic experience, Grace upholds administrative and professional excellence through a variety of roles at Sylvan. Grace’s love for music, friends and family, and her special dog ‘Rockett,’ translates exceptionally in building strong relationships with students at Sylvan.

Darlene Robinson

Teacher

Darlene Robinson is a math and reading tutor at Sylvan in Columbus, Georgia. Darlene has a gift for working with kids. and finds the greatest joy in teaching kids to read. She studied at Darton, Albany State, Columbus State and Troy State. Darlene has over 30 years of teaching experience. When Darlene isn’t at Sylvan, you will find her involved in the ministries at Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church and assisting with civic and social activities with the Columbus Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.

Diane Tucker

Teacher

Diane Tucker is a math and reading tutor at Sylvan in Columbus, Georgia. Diane loves working with kids. While Diane has many tutoring talents, she finds the greatest joy in teaching kids to think and tackle challenging tasks. She received her bachelors degree at Kennesaw State University and her masters degree at Columbus State University. She is a retired teacher with 23 years of teaching experience. When Diane isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her playing with her adorable grandchildren or maybe quilting a bit.

Amy Mobley

Teacher

Amy Mobley is a math and reading tutor at Sylvan in Columbus, Georgia. Amy is a third generation educator and truly loves working with middle school students. While Amy has many tutoring talents, she finds the greatest joy in teaching children to have confidence and find success in their own abilities. She graduated from the university of Georgia with a Bachelors of Education degree with a concentration in Math and Language Arts. She has 20 years of teaching experience at the middle school level. When Amy isn’t at Sylvan, you will find her spending time with her family, watching football, and cooking.

Kevin Klida

Teacher

Kevin is our math wiz in Columbus, GA with a gift for working with kids. While Kevin has many tutoring talents, he finds the greatest joy in upper level math and science tutoring. He studied at Auburn University and Columbus State University. When Kevin isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find him playing disc golf or Dungeons and Dragons with his friends.

Val Barthlett

Teacher

Val is a highly experienced high school math teacher in Columbus and has a unique gift for helping ALL students understand math. Val also is an integral part in helping students prepare for both the ACT and SAT tests. She works endlessly with these students and has a sincere desire to see them all reach their full potential. Val also enjoys spending time with her children and loves to exercise.

Nancy Fields

Teacher

Nancy is a middle grades math teacher at Sylvan in Columbus, Georgia. Nancy instantly forms true connections with all her students. She loves helping her students understand the concepts and content in math.  Nancy has over 30 years of teaching experience.  When Nancy isn’t at Sylvan, you may find her traveling to visit family or tailgating and watching Auburn football.
