Meet Our Team

As Center Director, Melanie helps children meet their full academic potential for Sylvan of Coral Springs. A certified mathematics teacher, Melanie chose a career in the tutoring business because she understands the importance of having students reach their educational goals. Melanie received her B.A. in Education from SUNY Geneseo in New York. When Melanie isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her most likely with family, outdoors or running as her most passionate hobby.

As Assistant Center Director and Teacher, Natalie leads many responsibilities for Sylvan of Coral Springs. A former teacher for ten years Natalie chose a career in the tutoring business because she enjoys seeing the growth students can make in Reading, Writing, or Math. She studied at FAU and received a K-6 teaching certificate. When Natalie isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her spending time with her two young kids and family. She also enjoys reading, sports, fishing, and scuba diving.

Dr. Miss Kimberly has a BA in Elementary Education from Florida Atlantic University. She has a Masters of Arts in Library Science from University of South Florida. Miss Kim received her doctorate degree in 2022!! Kim has been a tutor for over 6 years for reading and math students.  Kimberly’s hobbies include reading and also performing in community theater!

Diane attended Emerson College and received her degree in BA Science. Also, Diane received a masters in Education at Lesley College. She retired from public school teaching after 25 years but remained passionate about educating children. Diane’s other passion is taking care of her pets. She owns many animals and enjoys taking her dogs to the dog park on her time off!

Miss Sharon has taught for over 30 years. Her experience has been from preschool to eighth grade. In her later years, her focus has been on the “core” curriculum in reading and math. She holds a Master of Arts in Elementary Education. Miss Sharon’s goal in teaching throughout the years has been: “The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.”

Miss Ruth has been a dedicated tutor for Sylvan Learning of Coral Springs since November 2019. Her passionate content area is reading. She teaches our Early Literacy, Academic Reading, and lower level Math Essential students. She homeschooled her own children for part of their grade schooling. She has experience in teaching for over 30 years. Miss Ruth’s hobbies are painting and sewing as well as traveling to Orlando for Disney adventures!

Dr. Jennifer Booker is a native Floridian. She is a mother of two daughters. She loves teaching and working with children. Jennifer attends Bethel Baptist Church. She currently teaches middle school at Parkridge Christian Academy. Dr. Jennifer earned degrees from UF, FAMU, and Nova Southeastern University. Her hobbies include watching sports and crime shows.

Nicole Jones is a mother of two awesome boys. She has been in the education field for over 12 years. Miss Jones currently teaches 4th grade. She graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education in 2017, and then with a bachelors in Childhood and Adolescent Psychology in 2019. Education has always been a passion of hers, and her fondness continues to grow for educating young minds.

Miss Viola’s passions are teaching and learning. She earned her degree in Education from Nova Southeastern University in Florida. She has lived in Florida her entire life. Miss Viola’s hobbies are helping others reach their goals and supporting them the best why she knows how. Being from Miami, Florida she aims to be a bright ray of sunshine with each encounter of scholars.
