As a Contract Sylvan Instructor, you will be trained with Sylvan curriculum and given the tools to teach in a small group, up to 8:1 setting. You will provide small group instruction in either Reading or Math at an off site location.
As a successful instructor, you will:
*Teach students in small class settings using Sylvan materials.
*Manage student progress and attendance.
*Provide student progress communications to Sylvan.
*Ensures class materials are available for instruction.
*Develop rapport with students and establishes a fun learning environment.
*Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and Sylvan.
Requirements include a bachelor’s degree and a positive and enthusiastic approach to teaching. A teaching certificate and previous instructional experience are highly desired.
Length of program will run from January through March, with possible spring contracts. Hours available are after school, Monday-Thursday 2:30-5:30 pm.
Compensation is per day (starting at $30), based on instructional time.
