    Sylvan is the answer to my prayer. My daughter was "suspected" by East Brunswick Public School to have learning disabilities and was about to be put on special education.     Nancy Velisek, Lindsay, and the team are knowledgeable, professional and an important resource for parents when children need that extra help the teachers/schools are not providing. My 5 year old went from 0 knowledge of Reading to 3 grade level in first grade. Nancy, the director, was the only person (not the elementary school teachers) to recognize my child’s learning pattern and recommended we visit with a vision therapist who diagnosed him with Auditory Processing Disorder. Through this doctor, Colin received speech therapy (along with Sylvan tutoring) to rewire his brain and now excels as a 10th grader in a private school on his way to college soon. I’ve recently brought my 12-year-old son to get him up to speed during this critical time in a young boy’s life to push through, focus, and excel in school. His confidence is up because his grades are up! I couldn’t have raised my boys without Nancy and her dedicated teachers! My children enjoy the long-lasting relationship with Sylvan East Brunswick and can come back anytime for help with SAT, Act, etc. if you’re telling your child, “you can do this, stop being lazy,” then you need Sylvan East Brunswick.
