Gloria Kane

Executive Director/Owner

As Executive Center Director and Owner, Gloria oversees all operations and manages the directors, facilitators, and students of the Pensacola and Shalimar, FL centers.  As a former business consultant with a Degree in Education from Trinity Baptist College, Gloria chose a career in the tutoring business because she is truly passionate about education and serving the families of the Gulf Coast. When not at Sylvan, Gloria is an avid listener of Audible books, enjoys exploring the Gulf Coast sites, and singing to country music. 

Maryetta Casey

Tutor

Mrs. Casey is an elementary school teacher at St. Mary Catholic School with a gift for working with kids. While Maryetta has many tutoring talents, she finds the greatest joy in English tutoring. She studied at the University of Georgia. When Maryetta isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her kayaking, training for marathons, and spending time with her growing family.

Diana Carson

Tutor

I became a Tutor with Sylvan because I felt I could help provide such wonderful success to our children’s growth in academics. As a Tutor at Sylvan, above all else, I love the lasting impact Sylvan leaves on its families. We’ve seen kids start out with us in elementary school, and as they near high school graduation, it’s very touching to see how Sylvan has led them to a longstanding path of academic success.

Marissa Anderson

Tutor

Mrs. Anderson is a substitute teacher for St Mary Catholic School with a gift for working with kids. She studied at Spring Hill College in Mobile, AL. She is also a Military Policewoman for the Alabama National Guard. When Marissa isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her mastering musical instruments, such as guitar, ukulele, and piano. She is also raising her newborn and loves spending time with her family and loved ones.
