    Executive Director

    Todd is our executive and has a life-long passion for helping kids achieve academic success.  Todd is the first to graduate from college in his family and served in the Marine Corp for twelve years.  He has been running learning centers since 1998 and he fully understands the impact a good education can have on a child's life.  A native Southern Californian, Todd studied at Cal State Fullerton where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Theater Arts. When Todd isn’t working he's a full-time husband and Dad, driving his son from one practice to the next.  He fully understands what every parent goes through, trying to help their child become the best he or she can be.

    Administrative Assistant

    Mariam has been an Administrative assistant with Sylvan since August 2019. What she loves most about Sylvan is that we build the foundation in a student’s education. She feels that Sylvan motivates students and gives them the confidence they need to do well and enjoy school. Mariam is Armenian and has lived in Gardena, California her entire life. In her free time, Mariam is an avid Disney fan and loves to read Sci-Fi and fantasy novels.
    Mariam has a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Cal State Dominguez Hills.
  • Azjah Glover, Teacher

    Azjah Glover


    Azjah has been a teacher with Sylvan since March 2018. Prior to Sylvan, she worked as a peer writing consultant at her university, where she guided students to become better writers. In her free time, Azjah enjoys relaxing with poetry books and writing short stories. She also loves playing games with her family and friends. Azjah loves working at Sylvan because she enjoys helping students understand subjects that they have a difficult time with. She finds it very fun and learns so much from the students, too!Education: Bachelors in English with a concentration in Writing and Communications from the University of Dubuque.
    Future Plans: To return to school for her Masters in Speech Pathology.
