Coding:   Do you have a love for computers and working with children? Have you ever created lines of code? Are you a college student? A teacher? Or even a certified teacher with a STEM degree? Could you use extra money for teaching the next generation to be computer whizzes? If so, Sylvan Learning is looking for people like you to instruct our new STEM programs, a series on Coding for kids for elementary-aged children. Responsibilities:-  Have a basic knowledge of, comfort with, and interest in computer programming.  Supervise, interact with, and motivate students (grades 3–5) during instruction and while they work (6:1 ratio). - Communicate with parents in person and via email. - Communicate class needs to the Center director. - Develop rapport with students and establish a fun learning environment. Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and Sylvan. Be dependable and reliable. -Adhere to principals and techniques defined in training and ongoing coaching. Robotics Product and Operations Manual 32 If so, Sylvan Learning is looking for people like you to fill part-time instructor positions for our new STEM programs, a series of courses on Robotics and coding for elementary and middle-school-aged children. Responsibilities: - Supervise, interact with, and motivate students in grades 2–6 while they build projects according to scripted lesson plans. - Facilitate learning and positive group dynamics among students. - Work as a team with fellow teachers and teacher’s aides. - Communicate with customers via email following each session. - Communicate class needs to the manager. - Develop rapport with students and establish a fun learning environment. -  Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for Sylvan and Sylvan products. - Pick up and drop off equipment as necessary. - Be dependable and reliable. - Adhere to principles and techniques defined in training and ongoing coaching.
