At the Sylvan Learning of Hamilton, we are seeking someone who has a skillset in math, reading, and writing to help support students in grades K-12, after school, and/or weekends.We have a really fun, productive, and positive work environment. We are 100% about helping students improve their skills, confidence, and motivation by individualizing instruction delivered by excellent teachers, and supported by a passionate team that is dedicated to achieving success – one student at a time.
Essential Job Functions
- Prepares for each instructional session; Gathers and prepares materials as appropriate
- Greets students and initiates instruction to personally engage each student
- Instructs students according to the design of the Sylvan programs
- Manages students, tasks, and time to create a balanced and robust instructional session
- Evaluates and records the progress of each student on their program assignment
- Uses praise and encouragement to ensure students are engaged and inspired to learn
- Communicates specific student needs to Center staff
Requirements: - Teaching certification in any state
- 6-12 hours/week of availability
- Team player & flexible
