Holly Mefford
Center Director
As Center Director, Holly handles the day-to-day operations and tutoring enrollment for Sylvan Learning of Henderson, NV. A former English and literature educator who holds a K-12 multiple subject teaching credential, Holly chose a career in educational tutoring as she enjoys working with people and helping them develop their math, reading, and writing skills. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and Education. When Holly isn’t at Sylvan Learning Center, you’ll find her spending time with her family and enjoying all that Henderson, NV has to offer!
Hailey
Director of Education
Hailey oversees Sylvan Learning Center of Henderson, Nevada’s educational and tutoring programs, training of staff, and management of student learning plans and schedules. Hailey administers Sylvan Insight, STAR, math tutoring, writing tutoring, and reading tutoring assessment tests. Hailey brings a wealth of knowledge in reading, writing, math tutoring, and SAT/ACT prep.
Jay R.
Math Tutoring Henderson NV
Jay is a certified math tutor and instructor at our Henderson, Nevada center. He has been teaching and tutoring with Sylvan Learning Center in Henderson since 2004. Mr. Rich is the lead math tutor for our STEM Summer camp. He graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics. He also tutors ACT & SAT Prep courses.

Reading and Writing Tutor
Luiza is a tutor in Henderson, NV, with a gift for working with children and adults. While Luiza has many tutoring talents, she finds the greatest joy in reading tutoring. Luiza was born in Brazil and is fluent in Portuguese. Luiza received her degree from UNLV, Las Vegas, NV. Luiza has worked as a substitute teacher for CCSD and now brings her talents to Sylvan. At Sylvan, she enjoys seeing the smiles and watching the progress the students make on a daily basis.
