Do you have a love for computers and working with children? Have you ever created lines of code? Or did you group up playing with Legos® or still do?! Does playing with one of your favorite toys will educating the next generations of scientists and engineers sound fun and rewarding to you?
If so, Sylvan Learning is looking for people like you to instruct our STEM programs. These are a series of courses on Robotics and Coding for elementary and middle-school aged children. Sylvan has created a curriculum that is easy to follow and easier to deliver! If you have a love of STEM, and the ability to connect with young learners--then this is the perfect opportunity for you!
•Supervise, interact with, and motivate students in grades 1-5 while they build projects according to scripted lessons
•Facilitate learning and positive group dynamics among students
•Communicate with customers via email following each lesson
•Communicate class needs to the Director
•Develop rapport with students and establish a fun learning environment
•Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for Sylvan and Sylvan products
•Be dependable and reliable
•Adhere to principals and techniques defined in training and ongoing coaching
Requirements:•Experience working with groups of elementary aged children
•Interest in STEM related topics
