Our tutors and staff in Irving consist of passionate educators who love inspiring children to succeed. Warm, caring and great at relating to kids, our tutors in Irving know how to engage and motivate each child in a personal way—building confidence and smiles, as well as skills and better scores. BRANDON ROBERTS

Executive Director

As Executive Director, Brandon works closely with directors to ensure students get the best education possible. Brandon started working at Sylvan while attending University and decided to turn his passion for educational leadership into a career. Brandon has been a part of Sylvan since 2009. When he isn’t at Sylvan you will find him spending time with family and friends.
STEPHANY ZAPATA

Executive Director

As Executive Director, Stephany works closely with the Center Directors to ensure all students get the best education possible. Stephany is a graduate of Baylor University with a Math Major in Secondary Education. Stephany also holds a certification in 8-12 Mathematics. Stephany has over 10 years of experience with supplemental education. When Stephany isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her playing with her son and dog, cooking, and traveling to where the beach.
Janisha Kirby

Center Director

As Center Director, Janisha leads the Sylvan of South Irving. Janisha brings a rich teaching background to Sylvan. She was a teacher for 5 years at Everman High School. Janisha holds a BS in Sociology from Prairie View A&M University. When Janisha isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her writing, doing yoga, gardening, and coaching.
Beverly Harbin

CERTIFIED TUTOR

Beverly is a tutor at Sylvan of South Irving. Her degrees include Concordia University Ed.D. Elementary Education, Liberty University Education Specialist, Texas Woman’s University Master in Library Science. She is certified in Elementary Education. At Sylvan, Beverly enjoys teaching K-6 Reading, Writing, and Math. When not at Sylvan, she enjoys reading, story-telling, and teaching.
Marium Hamid

Tutor

Marium is a tutor at Sylvan of South Irving. She holds a Bachelor's of Arts and enjoys teaching Beginning Reading and Math. While not at Sylvan, Marium enjoys sewing, painting, cooking, swimming, and hiking.
