Our tutors and staff in Katy & Houston consist of passionate educators who love inspiring children to succeed. Warm, caring and great at relating to kids, our tutors in Katy know how to engage and motivate each child in a personal way—building confidence and smiles, as well as skills and better scores.     As Center Director, Jeannie runs Sylvan Learning Center of Katy and Houston.  A former Director for Sylvan Learning of Vacaville and prior to that a Center Director for 6 years at C2 Education in Katy, Texas.

    Director of Education

    Jackie oversees the educational integrity of our programs, managing and training our team of tutors.  Jackie brings a wealth of knowledge to Sylvan of Katy and experience in the training and management of personnel dedicated to customer service.

    Certified Teacher

    Dianne has dedicated her entire adult life to the improvement of children's reading skills.  She specializes in elementary reading and math.
  • Shaun Duke, Certified Math and Science Tutor

    Shaun Duke

    Certified Math and Science Tutor

    Shaun is a certified math and science tutor with a gift for working with kids in advanced math and science topics.  He has more than 12 years of experience teaching at Sylvan Learning centers and enjoys seeing his students succeed, whether in class or on SAT/ACT exams.  Shaun graduated from Lamar University with a BS in Biology.

    Yvette Tumminello

    Certified Teacher

    Yvette is a certified teacher in Katy, Texas.  She specializes in elementary and middle school math and reading, with over 25 years of experience in the education field.  Yvette received her MS in Education from Loyola University in New Orleans and her Ph.D. in Education from the University of Southern Mississippi.

    Megan is a certified teacher from Katy ISD with a gift for working with kids.  Megan is certified in elementary education and specializes in early reading education.

    Rosie Escobedo

    Certified Teacher

    Rosie is a teacher at Sylvan of Katy and Houston.  Her specialty is reading instruction through middle school age, as well as math instruction at the elementary school level.
