Meet Our Team

Sabrina, the owner of the center, oversees the educational integrity of our programs, as well as manages daily operations and marketing for Sylvan of Lancaster. Sabrina chose a career in the tutoring business because she wants to meet students’ individual strengths and weaknesses with individualized learning. Sabrina strives to build confidence to ignite a love and curiosity for learning. A former teacher, Sabrina brings a wealth of knowledge to our Sylvan center. She graduated with a master’s in Education and is driven to help students succeed! Sabrina is inspired by the youth of the future and thrives from creating strong relationships with students and their families!

Dr. Viglietti oversees our educational programming, manages our team of tutors, and is the point of contact for our parents. A former college professor in Buffalo, she brings a wealth of knowledge to Sylvan of Lancaster. Dr. Viglietti is our resident mathematics specialist, having earned an associate degree in mathematics (Erie Community College), a bachelor’s in Mathematics, as well as a master’s and Ph.D. in Mathematics Education (State University of New York at Buffalo). She uses her extensive knowledge of math content and pedagogy to help our students develop critical thinking skills; Dr. Viglietti’s focus is to help all of our students work independently with confidence! When she’s not at Sylvan, Dr. V. likes to spend her time pursuing creative endeavors including graphic design and board game design.

Tierra is a mathematician in Buffalo NY with a gift for working with kids. While Tierra has many talents she finds the greatest joy in math tutoring. She studied at Buffalo State College. When Tierra isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her listening to music as well as hanging with her friends and family enjoying moments with the people she loves!

Elisabeth is a special education teacher in Cheektowaga, NY with a gift for working with kids. Elisabeth is a skilled practitioner who uses her talents to help students develop a deep understanding and strong critical thinking skills. She earned her BS at Keuka College, and her master’s at SUNY Fredonia. When Elisabeth isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her working out, spending time with family, or curled up with a good book!

Annmarie is a Math, Reading and Writing teacher with a gift for working with kids. While Annmarie has many tutoring talents, she finds the greatest joy in working with hands on manipulatives to help students make sense of their learning. She enjoys the curiosity process and loves seeing children explore and design! When Annmarie isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her spending quality time with her family.

Peg is a Reading teacher with a gift and love for working with kids. While Peg has many tutoring talents, she finds the greatest joy in tutoring students who need that little extra push to focus and build confidence! Peg works with a number of students with all different strengths and needs. She is dedicated to ensure that she helps build confidence and truly believes that we are all different and take our own time to meet goals, but we all surely do!
