Get ready for Sylvan’s International Grand STEM
Challenge IV — a fun, week-long camp and
STEM competition that will stretch your child’s
creativity and problem-solving skills through
invention.
INVENT YOUR WORLD WITH
ELECTRONIC TEXTILES!
Supported by the National Math + Science
Initiative (NMSI), with curriculum from the
Lemelson-MIT Program, kids will compete on a
national scale. This week-long camp teaches kids
the process of invention and basic circuitry. They
will practice the engineering design process and
compete with a prototype of their original
electronic textile invention.
Final day reveal: It’s show time! Every team will
present their invention to the judges.
Judging: A local panel will review and judge all
entries. The winners from each center will move
on to receive international judging by experts
from Sylvan Learning, NMSI and Lemelson-MIT.
Grand prizes: The worldwide winners will receive
an Apple Watch Series 4 and a visit to their local
school and community by veteran astronaut Dr.
Bernard Harris, Jr.!
