Missy Roh

Owner

Missy is a former CPA, graduating from Doane College. She chose a career in the tutoring business because it’s been a huge part of her family since 1996. She loves spending time with family, enjoying the outdoors (paddle boarding, fishing, etc.), and a good book. Marissa loves seeing the impact Sylvan has made on families and the surrounding community.

Bekah Corey

Center Director

As Center Director, Bekah oversees the day to day operations of the center, meets with families, assesses students, and handles the marketing for Sylvan of Lincoln. A former preschool facilitator, Bekah chose a career in the tutoring business because she has a passion for helping children develop strong study skills as well as beginning to take accountability for their own educational success. When Bekah is not at Sylvan you can find her touring a local gallery or museum.

Will Cook

Teacher

Will is a senior at UNL majoring in philosophy with a minor in mathematics. He is also currently studying for his LSAT in hopes of attending law school after graduation. He has an extensive background working with children of all ages. He finds great pleasure in helping students find their voice in education. In his free time he like to works on creating music to help children’s memorization skills in various areas such as science and grammar.

Shelley Andelt

Teacher

Shelley is one of most well known teachers in the building. She has a bachelors in Elementary Education and Special Education. When you are in the center you can feel the love she has for each and every student that comes through our doors. She loves teaching our younger students about phonics and really wants to help them learn as much as possible to set them each up for success. When she is not at Sylvan she can be seen with her sweet puppy Winter and spending time with the people she loves most.

Hanna Dannar

Teacher

Hanna is a student at UNL majoring in Music Research and a minor in English. She loved working with our student on finding joy in learning. She believes that each child learns differently and that we should always met them on their individual needs. She does a fantastic job of motivating our middle school students to be the best learners possible. When she is not at Sylvan you can find her reading a book or in a local choir.

Trenten Hansen

Teacher

Trenten is our upper math tutor here at Sylvan. Trenten takes great pride in breaking down each step of a math problem to ensure that his students understand the structure to the best of their ability. He also does a fantastic job of ensuring our middle and high school students end each session proud of the work that they put in. When Trenten is not at Sylvan you can find him learning something new or watching a local musical.

Josie Nelson

Teacher

Josie is a senior at UNL majoring in Secondary Math Education. She does a great job reminding our students to show their work when working on math problems. Our students love working with Josie, she does a great job of helping students find joy in learning and building confidence both in education and in life. When she is not at Sylvan you can find her reading a book or walking with her four legged best friend Niko.

Noelle Aden

Teacher

Noelle always knew she wanted to work with kids! She completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees in education from UNL and Concordia, and is a Reading Specialist at Adams Elementary. It’s no surprise that her favorite program at Sylvan is Beginning Reading Foundations and her talents bring a great addition to our team! Noelle loves being outside, reading books, and peanut butter M&M’s.

Hannah Wiese

Teacher

Hannah is a tutor at Sylvan of Lincoln. While Hannah has many tutoring talents, she finds the greatest joy in teaching our primary grades in reading and math. She studied at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and is currently student teaching at Eagle Elementary School. When Hannah isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her spending time with her dog Tipsy, and two horses, Lacy and Polly.  Her favorite children’s book is Green Eggs and Ham!

Emily Robinson

Emily is a Elementary teacher that loves working with early reading students on finding ways to meet the children where they are at. Emily graduated from the University of Nebraska Lincoln with High Distinction in Education! Emily greets every person with the kindness and care. She puts her love into everything she does and it shows in our students performance.

Jason Frazier

Teacher

Jason graduated with an Associates degree from SCC Milford for Automotive Technology, then decided to go back to school for a Bachelors in Organizational Communication and Leadership from Nebraska Wesleyan. Jason goal for his time at Sylvan is to help children feel comfortable about where they are at in education and help learn skills to overcome educational struggles. As he has a lot of the same. When he is not at Sylvan he enjoys spending time with his gods and running the Alien haunt at Eagle Hollow.

Aleisha Thomas

Teacher

Aleisha is a reading, math, and Spanish teacher at Sylvan of Lincoln. She works very well with students of all ages and abilities. Aleisha is a Spanish teacher at SDA Public Schools in Syracuse.  She earned her Bachelor’s in Education and Human Sciences in 2013. Aleisha and her husband have one little girl.  Aleisha’s favorite snacks are chips & salsa and anything with peanut butter!

Brinley Hager

Teacher

Brinley is a tutor here at the Lincoln center. She is currently going to school to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Although she enjoys teaching children of all ages, she finds her greatest joy in elementary mathematics. When she isn’t at Sylvan, you can find her enjoying a good book or spending time with friends.

Jeff Brandle

Teacher

Jeff is a Tutor in Lincoln, NE with a gift for working with kids. While Jeff has many tutoring talents, he finds the greatest joy in Trigonometry tutoring. Jeff specializes in upper level Math tutoring including the following classes: Algebra I, Geometry, Advanced Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus and Trigonometry. He studied at Trinity University and University of Nebraska – Lincoln. When Jeff isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find him spending time with his daughter Mia.  .

Shelby Clausen

Teacher

Shelby graduated with a Bachelors in Physics and a Masters in Science Education. She loves being able to work one-on-one with students to ensure their understanding of difficult material. She wants to make a difference in the education my showing them how it can help their trajectory in life. Her favorite subject is Math because she knows it is hard and she loves seeing people who are struggling find their lightbulb moments. When she is not at Sylvan you can find her going for a ride on her bike or exploring the internet with programing courses and playing Minecraft.
