your favorite childhood toys while educating the next generation of scientists
and engineers sound fun and rewarding?
If so,
Sylvan Learning Center of Mountain View is looking for people like you to fill
part-time instructor positions for our new STEM programs, a series of courses
on Robotics and Coding(Game Design) for elementary and middle school aged
children.
Responsibilities:
-Supervise,
interact with, and motivate students in grades 2-6 while they build projects
according to scripted lesson plans
-Facilitate
learning and positive group dynamics among students
-Work
as a team with fellow teachers and teacher's aides
-Communicate
with customers via email following each session
-Communicate
class needs to the manager
-Develop
rapport with students and establish a FUN learning environment
-Maintain
a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for Sylvan and Sylvan products
-Pick
up and drop off equipment as necessary
-Be
dependable and reliable
-Adhere
to principles and techniques defined in training and ongoing coaching
Requirements:
-Experience
working with groups of elementary or middle school aged children
-Interest
in STEM-related topics and a fun, positive personality
