Sylvan Adds New STEM programs

STEM programs are rising in popularity as kids realize the fun they can have. Now, Sylvan Learning Center of Murfreesboro has STEM programs for kids beginning in April.
The Sylvan Learning Center of Murfreesboro — who already offers a variety of programs including reading, math and study skills — is excited to announce their new STEM classes coming in April. “Children are fascinated with technology,” says Center Director Dr. Teresa Flores. “We discovered this when we started teaching our core programs on the iPad. STEM programs are the next great wave for the future. We’re happy to provide these programs, such as Robotics and Coding, that will get kids excited about science and technology.”
Programs Include:
Sylvan Robotics — a program for kids in grades 2 – 6 that has them building robots out of LEGOs® while learning concepts to animate them. It’s a six-session course at 90 minutes each and costs $199. BUT, kids can check this program out with one FREE class! Join Sylvan Learning Center of Murfreesboro for a free Robotics class. Kids will work with a buddy for hands-on projects building and animating LEGO® robots. This free demo class allow you and your child to learn about the new robotics classes. Refreshments and prizes will be provided. Call or register online to RSVP your spot by Wednesday, March 25 before they fill up!
Sylvan Coding — a program for kids in grades 3 – 5 that uses technology to teach them how to create, code and animate video games while learning skills like computational thinking, algorithmic and design thinking abilities, pattern recognition and more. It’s a six-session course at 90 minutes each and costs $299.
