Jennifer Berth
Director
Jennifer is our Center Director here at the Newington Sylvan Learning Center. Jennifer has been with Sylvan since 2001, teaching every offered subject, and previously worked as a Director of Education and Center Director at the Southington and Brookfield, CT centers. Jennifer graduated with honors from Mount Saint Mary College, in Newburgh, NY with degrees in English and History, as well as dual secondary certification in both subjects. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys gardening, photography, and traveling.
Aldona LaPorta
Tutor
Aldona is a passionate instructor in Newington, CT. While Aldona has many tutoring talents, she finds the greatest joy in reading, writing, math, and beginning reading tutoring. She studied at Eastern Connecticut State University. When Aldona isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, and visiting historical places.
Sarah Stolfi
Tutor
Sarah is a dynamic instructor in Newington, CT. While Sarah has many tutoring talents, she finds the greatest joy in reading, writing, math, study skills, and beginning reading tutoring. She studied at UCONN, Central Connecticut State University, and Southern Connecticut State University for her 6th-year certificate and is now enrolled in their doctoral program. When Sarah isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her cooking and learning new things.
