Our tutors and staff in Niles consist of passionate educators who love inspiring children to succeed. Warm, caring and great at relating to kids, our tutors in Niles know how to engage and motivate each child in a personal way—building confidence and smiles, as well as skills and better scores. We selectively choose tutors who know local curriculum and can link Sylvan lessons to what’s being taught in school.

Josh Terrell
Center Director
Josh oversees the educational integrity of our programs at Sylvan of Niles. Josh works full time in the center teaching, testing students, and meeting with families. Josh likes to get to know the students in order to have a better understanding of how they learn best. He graduated from Youngstown State with a B.S. in Education. When Josh isn’t at Sylvan you will find him enjoying music, friends, family, and traveling.
Terri
Teacher
Terri is a teacher at the Niles Sylvan Learning Center who has many tutoring talents. She finds the greatest joy in teaching reading, English, and college prep! When not at Sylvan, you can find her spending time with friends and family.
Dawn Walton
Teacher
Dawn is an educator & manager with more than 15 years of overall experience at Sylvan. She is a graduate of Ashland University with a B.A. Degree in Elementary Education. Dawn carefully balances all elements of center operations to ensure that students receive the highest quality instruction and parents/guardians receive timely communication regarding their students’ Sylvan experience. When Dawn isn’t at Sylvan, she enjoys playing golf, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
