    B.S. in Physics, M.S. in Physics from Texas A&M University
    James joined our San Antonio, TX tutoring team in 2012. Prior to retirement, James worked for over 30 years in the semiconductor industry. He enjoys tutoring students of all ages.

    B.S. in Math, M.S. in Applied Math from North Carolina State University, MBA in Business and Finance from Webster University.
     Preston joined our Bandera Road math tutoring team in 2013. Currently he works as a Civil Engineer for the Air Force here in San Antonio. In addition, Preston speaks fluent German.

    Certified Teacher- B.S. in Education from West Texas A&M, M.S. in Administrative Leadership from University of Texas at Dallas
    Sister has been an administrator and a teacher at Atonement Academy since 1994.  A former Sylvan teacher from 1996-2004, we welcome her back in 2018 with open arms.  Sister has always been one of our most requested teachers.

    Donna is a retired elementary school teacher who specializes in reading. Donna has Bachelor's of Education from Trinity University and a Master of Ed. from UTSA. She taught for 35 years, specializing in Reading.

    Tanya is a graduate of the University of the Incarnate Word with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies. She is motivated, caring, and excited to work with bright minds. Teaching is her passion. - Being able to guide young minds to be successful is what matters the most!

    Jeannie is a retired teacher. She has a Bachelor's of Science in Business Admin. from the University of Phoenix. She then received her teaching certificates in Special Ed k-12, Classroom teacher 1-8, High school 9-12, and Gifted and talented trained. She is looking forward to working with the students and the parents.

    Jay came from India. He has been in American since 2000. He has a certification in Navigation for Australia. He has been an ER nurse. He bought his Sylvan Centers because he saw what an amazing difference it made for his daughter. In his free time, Jay enjoys playing chess.

    Mamie Larkin


    Mamie has been teaching since she was 18. She received a scholarship from TSTA for teaching.  She graduated from the University of North Texas in 1981. She is a retired counselor. She is a mother of 4 and has 6 grandkids. She belongs to an archeology club. Mamie enjoys working with students and can't wait to help your child succeed.
