Our tutors and staff in Olivette consist of passionate educators who love inspiring children to succeed. Warm, caring and great at relating to kids, our tutors in St. Louis know how to engage and motivate each child in a personal way—building confidence and smiles, as well as skills and better scores. We selectively choose tutors who know local curriculum and can link Sylvan lessons to what’s being taught in school. Get to know our tutors and staff in Olivette!

  • Donna Aggugelo, Center Director

    Donna Aggugelo

    Center Director

    Donna has been with Sylvan for 17 years. She has a  BA in Elementary Education for grades K-8 and a minor in psychology and Spanish. Her masters degree is in curriculum and instruction. She has had 30 years of teaching experience with 10 years teaching in Texas and 20 years teaching in the Hazelwood School District. Donna has been a director at Sylvan for 5 years. The success she's seen the students achieve over the years at Sylvan has been very rewarding and keeps her motivated. At home Donna enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and watching baseball, football and hockey games.
  • Danielle Schlueter, Director of Education

    Danielle Schlueter

    Director of Education

    Danielle has worked with Sylvan Learning for almost a decade in various roles. Initially working in Operations in the after-school Ace-it! Programs, and also a tutor in the program,  Danielle later transitioned to working in the Center as a tutor and center assistant & then into the current role of Director of Education. She received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Virginia Tech University. After completing her graduate program and receiving her teaching license, she worked as a classroom schoolteacher teaching 1st grade for several years. When Danielle isn't at Sylvan, she enjoys visiting some of the great parks St. Louis has to offer and traveling to new places.
  • Shera Ross, Tutor

    Shera Ross


    Shera is a retired History teacher in St. Louis, with a gift for working with kids. While Shera has many tutoring talents, she finds the greatest joy in tutoring Early Literacy and Academic Reading to our Sylvan students.  She received her B.A. in Education with a concentration in Social Studies from Maryville University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Webster University, as well as a Masters in Educational Administration from the University of Missouri - St. Louis.  When Shera  isn’t at Sylvan, her favorite activities are spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, and playing with her two little dogs, Prince and Princess!
  • Nigel Radford, TUTOR

    Nigel Radford


    My name is Nigel Radford. I am a graduate of the University of Missouri-St. Louis with a mathematics major and philosophy minor . I've worked as a math tutor at my collage for four years utilizing all forms of math required. I am so excited to tutor here at Sylvan of Olivette! 
  • Uma Banerjee, Tutor

    Uma Banerjee


    Uma is currently a substitute teacher at Whitfield High School and the Rockwood School District. She has a gift for working with kids and finds her greatest joy in tutoring math, science and chemistry. She has tutored in 3 different countries (India, England and the USA) for the past 12 years. She has a bachelors degree in physics, chemistry, and math with a masters degree in chemistry. She is a certified instructor in ACT and SAT Math and Science. Uma likes cooking, spending time with her family and running her YouTube channel, Uma's Classroom. She also likes traveling and filling out Google Travel Reviews.
  • David Augustine, Tutor

    David Augustine


    David is a graduate at Covenant Theological Seminary and has a gift for working with kids. He previously attended the University of Pittsburgh where he studied neuroscience. While David has many tutoring talents, he is most adept in tutoring math. He enjoys the time spent with kids in tutoring and loves seeing them learn and grow. Outside of Sylvan David spends time outdoors, reading books, or cooking.
  • Bob Hudgins, Tutor

    Bob Hudgins


    Bob received his BA in history from Washington University. He has been with Sylvan since 2016. He has a background in broadcasting and went back to school for a teaching certificate in secondary education for social studies. He teaches ACT prep and reading at Sylvan. Bob enjoys working out and staying fit when he is not at Sylvan.

    Sherry Lillie


    Sherry is a retired university professor. After retiring, she decided it was time to use her teaching skills in a different way than in front of the classroom. Sherry's tutoring talents lie mostly with English, reading and writing. She has a BS in Education from Missouri State University and two Masters of Arts. One of which is from St, Louis in Theatre and the other in Communications for Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. When not at Sylvan Sherry enjoys being with her family and friends. She likes gardening and loves going to the Cardinal baseball games.
  • LaTasha Scott, Tutor

    LaTasha Scott


    LaTahsa is a Reading Specialist/Interventionist in, St. Ann, MO with a gift for working with kids. While LaTahsa has many tutoring talents, she  finds the greatest joy in helping students grow as readers.  She obtained her Bachelors and Masters in Elementary Education, with a Specialization in Reading at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.   When she isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her  enjoying new adventures with her 7 year old son.
