Our tutors and staff in Paducah consist of passionate educators who love inspiring children to succeed. Warm, caring and great at relating to kids, our tutors in Paducah know how to engage and motivate each child in a personal way—building confidence and smiles, as well as skills and better scores.   • Steve Bright, Executive Director

    Steve Bright

    Executive Director

    As Center Director, Steve is the leader of operations for Sylvan of Paducah. Formerly, he was the owner of Bright's clothing, but he chose a career in the tutoring business because of his love for kids and the experience of seeing the success we bring to each of them. Steve studied at the University of Kentucky and is a huge UK fan. When he isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find him on the golf course or at a ballgame.
  • Kim Keen, Director of Education

    Kim Keen

    Director of Education

    Kim oversees the educational integrity of our programs, managing and training our team of tutors. 
    Kim worked for Sylvan Learning Center in the Memphis, Tennessee area for four years while finishing her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Secondary Education and after she began her teaching career in Mississippi. 
    Kim comes to Sylvan Learning of Paducah with eight years of teaching experience in public schools as well as an additional five years of experience homeschooling her own children. 

    When Kim isn't at Sylvan, you'll find her spending time with her family, including her three fur babies.

    Instructor

    Keitha is our veteran teacher here at Sylvan in Paducah, KY. She's the one we turn to for new, engaging ideas because she has created many of them on her own. While Keitha has many teaching talents, she finds instructing math for all ages to be the most fulfilling. She studied education at Murray State University. When Keitha isn't at Sylvan, you'll find her spending time with family.

    Joanna is an engaging, creative instructor here at Sylvan in Paducah with a natural gift for working with our students. While Joanna has many teaching talents, she finds the greatest joy in tutoring our little ones in reading and math. She studied elementary education at Murray State University. When Joanna isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her spending time with her high school daughter mostly as her taxi cab driver.

    Katie brings much positive energy and enthusiasm to our center and many smiles to our students' faces.  Her love for learning and desire for all students to be successful in math is what drives her to engage each learner she encounters.  Katie earned her degree at the University of Louisville.  When she isn't at Sylvan, you will find her spending time with her family and friends.

    Instructor

    Kaye is our newest addition to the Paducah Sylvan team.  Her first love is middle school math, but each day her appreciation for teaching reading and other skills to our students grows more and more.  Kaye earned her degree at Murray State University.  When she's not at Sylvan, you'll find her spending time with her son.

    Tamara brings much joy and great, fresh ideas to our Paducah center. She works well with students of all ages, finding the greatest joy when she is tutoring math. Tamara studied secondary math education at Murray State University and University of the Cumberlands. When she isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her spending time with her husband and young children.
