Our tutors and staff in Palmyra consist of passionate educators who love inspiring children to succeed. Warm, caring and great at relating to kids, our tutors in Palmyra know how to engage and motivate each child in a personal way—building confidence and smiles, as well as skills and better scores. We selectively choose tutors who know local curriculum and can link Sylvan lessons to what’s being taught in school. Get to know our tutors and staff in Palmyra!

    Lauren graduated with a B.S. in Elementary Education from Penn State University. She started at Sylvan as a tutor in 2014. Lauren and her husband, Mike, became owners of the Palmyra and Lancaster locations in June of 2017. They took over the York location in June of 2019 and opened Mechanicsburg in July of 2021. 

    In her free time, Lauren enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and watching her daughter grow!

    Owner/Franchisee

    Mike is a 2008 Graduate of Cedar Crest High School and Career and Technology Center as a certified Electrician. He has operated his father's construction company for the past seven years as the Vice President and Director of Operations As of June 1, 2017 he is the Secretary and Treasurer of Webster Associates, Inc. which does business as Sylvan Learning Center. In his free time Mike enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.

    Center Director

    Becky graduated with a B.S. in Elementary Education from Lancaster Bible College. She spent multiple years as a teacher in the United States and abroad before joining the Sylvan team in 2021.
    In her free time, Becky loves to cook, take walks in nature, write children stories, and spend time with family and friends.
  • Amy Loser, Director of Education

    Amy Loser

    Director of Education

    Amy received a B.S. In Elementary Education from Shippensburg University and a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood. She taught in the PA public education system for 22 years. Her teaching experience includes kindergarten, first grade, third grade, and remedial reading. During her tenure, she was involved in curriculum writing and literacy development. She is a member of the Lebanon County Education Honor Society.

    Amy enjoys reading (mostly historical fiction), decorating, and shopping. She and her husband are especially proud of their 2 children.
