    Christian is a home schooled student who needed a little extra boost to get him motivated to learn how to read in the 1st grade. He worked on Sylvan's Reading and Handwriting Without Tears programs.  Mom and grandma saw a difference right away! The began telling us that Christian was trying to read everything he saw from street signs, packaging in the grocery store and ultimately his very first book!     The Sylvan program has helped my grandson in many ways. My daughter and I started homeschooling in due to problems with the public school. My daughter put him in Sylvan of the Woodlands at least for the summer months. The way that the instructors work with him on a one-on-one basis has improved his reading and even spelling. He has more confidence in everything he does. His spirit had been broken in the public school system, and with homeschooling and Sylvan, we have Brendan back. My daughter and I appreciate all of the time that been spent with Brendan.
