Meet our Vacaville Tutoring Staff

As Center Director, Angela focuses on making learning fun and creating a family friendly environment that promotes confidence, educational growth and fun for her students at Sylvan of Vacaville. A former Center Director for Sylvan of Modesto for the last five years, Angela chose a career in the tutoring business because she loves education and seeing her students excel. She has a B.S in Business Administration and Marketing from California Sate University Stanislaus. When Angela isn’t at Sylvan, you’ll find her reading, at the gym or catching the latest movies.

Dezirai is a Sylvan tutor in Vacaville, CA who enjoys working with kids. She studied History at Southern New Hampshire University. Her passions are reading, writing, and world history. In her free time, she enjoys watercolor painting, writing, and traveling.

Adrienne recently graduated from the California State University of Sacramento. Adrienne enjoys teaching and working with children because she believes education is powerful. During her free time, Adrienne likes to hang out with friends and cook new food

Shelbie is a Teacher here at Sylvan with a gift for working with kids.  While Shelbie has many tutoring talents, she finds her greatest joy working in math-related subjects.  When Shelbie isn't at Sylvan you'll find her reading a good book or spending time with family and friends.

Janet Bunger is a tutor here at Sylvan. In 2020 she retired after 40 years of teaching a variety of ages and subjects in different cities and states. She enjoys inspiring students to learn. When not teaching you can find her reading, sewing, quilting and watching sports, especially football.

Doug Cox has a Bachelor’s Degree from San Francisco State University in Broadcast Communication Arts. He worked in the music industry for 17 years. He decided to further his education in Mathematics at Sacramento State University. In his spare time Doug likes to read, watch movies, spend time with grandchildren, and listen to music

 "Sarah will soon be graduating from UC Davis with a degree in psychology. She enjoys helping children build confidence in their reading and math abilities. In her free time Sarah enjoys drawing, going to the gym, and playing video games.” 

Dale attends San Francisco State University and is majoring in Business Administration and Management. Dale teaches all subjects here at Sylvan.   In her free time, she is an avid tabletop gamer and convention goer.  Dale also loves picking up new game systems and playing them with her family and friends.

Brandon teaches reading and math here at Sylvan. Brandon graduated with a degree in Psychology. When Brandon is not at Sylvan, he can be found working on model trains (inherited from his grandpa) or playing the piano and clarinet.

Hi, I'm Sheridan. I am one of the beginning reading tutors at Sylvan Vacaville. I have a love for teaching and learning new things and try to impart that on my students. I am also a huge nerd who loves video games and comics, but I am equally a fan of classic literature and crafting.
