    Director of Education

    Angela oversees the educational integrity of our programs, managing, and training our team of tutors in West Bloomfield. As a former teacher in Walled Lake, Birmingham, and Madison Heights, Angela brings a wealth of knowledge to our Center. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English with Secondary Education Certification from Oakland University. Angela also tutors Beginning Reading, English Language Arts, Grammar/Punctuation, Writing, the ACT/SAT, and Study Skills. In her spare time, Angela enjoys scrapbooking, reading, and shopping!

    Paul Lautenschlager

    Director of Education

    Paul has a bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Physical Science from Michigan State University, as well as a minor in Mathematics from Western Michigan University. He taught science and math at the high school level in urban schools for 10 years. Paul enjoys helping students learn and hopes to instill in them a love of learning that will last a lifetime. In his spare, he grows plants, raises various "critters" (snakes, tarantulas, etc.), cooks, plays board games, and travels.

    Brandon is an Advanced Math and Reading tutor here in West Bloomfield. He graduated from Oakland University in 2012 with a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics with Secondary Education certification. Before joining us, Brandon taught at Clarkston High School teaching not only Mathematics, but English as well. During his student teaching year he spent his time before and after school and his lunch period working with students who struggled with math. He also spent some time substitute teaching in the district. When Brandon is not teaching he enjoys reading, watching TV and films, crafting, and gaming.

    Chloe loves motivating the students to do their best! In her spare time, she enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, and being outdoors.

    Ashley Jones


    Ashley has a bachelor's degree in Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering Technology with a minor in Electrical Engineering Technology from Purdue University. She has been a mentor to high school students by introducing them to the field of engineering technology. Ashley believes learning is a lifelong journey that doesn't stop upon graduation. She is passionate about helping children realize their potential and grow. When Ashley isn't teaching, she loves cooking, board games, and dungeons and dragons.

    Melody VanderPloeg


    Melody is an experienced GED Math tutor and works with all ability levels. She hopes to instill in her students that mastering math skills is practice for mastering life skills. Melody is a graduate of the University of Michigan. She enjoys spending time with her husband, making puzzles, playing Sudoku, and walking. She has two adult daughters.
