    As the Executive Director at Sylvan Learning Center of West Covina, Jessica brings a unique blend of creativity and professionalism to the table. With a passion for helping students reach their full potential, she expertly oversees the daily operations of the center, combining her event planning background with her bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Long Beach State University.
    Jessica has always loved working with children. She's since turned that love into a successful career at Sylvan, where she is committed to making a difference in students' lives. With her energetic spirit and determined approach, there's no limit to what can be achieved at Sylvan Learning Center!

    Giovanni Pablo

    Giovanni graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and is working towards his Teaching Credential from the same university. For the last 2 years, he has been a math instructor at Sylvan and has been tutoring math for 5 years. He is also a substitute teacher in a couple of local school districts in West Covina. Giovanni loves math and enjoys teaching kids about the wonders of science and math. In his free time, he likes to exercise, watch movies, and visit amusement parks to enjoy the exciting rides and attractions.

    Anais has been working as an instructor and center assistant at Sylvan for the past 2 years. She tutors math, science, and reading. Anais is pursuing a master's degree in Chemistry from Cal Poly Pomona, where she also earned her bachelor's degree in chemistry with an emphasis in Biochemistry. Additionally, Anais works at the Chemistry Laboratory at Cal Poly Pomona. During her leisure time, she likes to attend concerts and binge-watch TV shows and movies. Anais is a huge K-pop fan and enjoys trying out new food while seeking out new adventures.

    Nicholas Navarro

    Nicholas has been working at Sylvan for the past 2 years as an instructor and center assistant. He grew up in La Puente and graduated from Glen A. Wilson High School in Hacienda Heights. Currently, he is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona. Nicholas finds it fulfilling to assist kids in learning more about math. During his free time, he enjoys playing drums and creating his own music while also being a drum line instructor at multiple high schools in the area. Nicholas is excited about the future and wants to continue guiding the next generation of scholars to achieve their goals.

    Rosa Figueroa

    Rosa received both her Bachelors Degree and Teaching credential from California State University, Los Angeles. Previously, she worked for the Mountain View School District as a substitute. Currently she is teaching High School English in the La Puente area.  Rose loves reading and traveling. She is a Los Angeles Dodgers fan and enjoys playing volleyball and running. Rosa also loves Disneyland.

    Alexander Vogel has taught in various capacities for over 11 years, including after-school programs, tutoring, and classroom instruction.
    Alexander brings his experience to Sylvan to ensure student success and a newfound found confidence from building on their strengths. Alexander has a Bachelor of Arts in English Education from San Francisco State University and an Master of Arts in History from the University of California, Irvine. Alexander enjoys playing music (saxophone, drums), practicing calligraphy, bird watching, reading poetry and academic works, and playing soccer in a recreational league.
