Instructional Manager/Assistant Director of Education

As IM/ADE, you will work with the Directors of Education to support academic program quality, policies and procedures, and support teachers and students during classes.

As a successful Instructional Manager/ADE, you will champion our world-class Sylvan developed academic programs, manage and ensure the quality of the education standards and teaching staff, and help grow the student enrollment in your center by managing students and supporting teachers during instruction and making sure the instructional environment is engaging, productive and fun! As IM/ADE, you will work with the Directors of Education to oversee staff for all educational policies and procedures, and partner with the Administrative Directors to run operations. You will administer Sylvan skills assessments, support goal-based academic programs for Sylvan students, and monitor programs for performance. Our goal is to create a positive learning environment during all phases of the instructional program. Sylvan is a wonderful place to work and grow along with the students you serve! Qualifications: Bachelors DegreeTeaching or tutoring experience strongly preferred Outgoing personality - not afraid to be in front of a large group of students Organized, self-starter, professional but caring demeanor Chinese or Spanish Bi-Lingual Preferred Schedule 5 days per week - M-Th and S or S Evenings required (M-TH classes until 7:30pm). Saturday or Sunday required Please only apply if you are able to accommodate this schedule. This is an hourly position - 25-35 hours a week. Hourly rate will be $17-18/hr DOE Required education: Bachelor's Required experience: Teaching or Tutoring: 1 year
